For as long as I can remember I’ve had a passion for animals, I have been around horses, dogs, cats and smaller pets my whole life. I found my love for animals when I stayed at my Grandad’s home in Wales each weekend as a child, his house backed onto a field of horses. I was lucky enough to meet the lady who owned them, whom I am still good friends with and now pet sit for, taking care of her horses, dogs and cats when she’s away.
I have my own two pooches, Pepper and Reggie who are both Miniature Dachshunds. If I am not out walking other dogs I am either walking my two or cuddled up on the sofa!
Before starting my own business I worked in an office environment, during which I felt claustrophobic and wished to be outdoors. In the end I took the leap and decided I had to do what was right for me which turned out to be Strutt your Mutt. Since then I’ve never looked back now I’ve found the right fit for me, which is being outdoors with the animals I love most!
Before starting my business I completed a Canine First Aid Certification, which I believe all pet owners should complete as it is so helpful. I’m also DBS checked and am fully covered though PetPlan insurance.
I do not do pet boarding! However I have availability for pet sitting. Were I stay in your home whilst you are away and look after your pets and your home! My availability for pet sitting gets taken very quickly, so please contact me asap!
I currently cover the majority of the Wirral. I am local to Oxton myself. But I currently have walks in Prenton, Thingwall, Heswall, Hooton, Wallasey, Bebington, Upton and Port Sunlight!
In the unlikely case of an emergency, I will contact you (or your emergency contact if you are not available). If veterinary assistance is needed, I will take your dog to your nominated veterinary practice. Or the closest possible depending on the severity.
I typically work 7-4 Monday to Friday! I have different slots each day. If you need anything outside these hours, please still get in touch!
Nope! Lots of my clients provide me with a key. All my keys are all kept in a locked box with no information on other than your pups name. Some other clients like to have a key safe outside their home.
Yes! I am fully insured with PetPlan, which is a specialist pet business insurance company. My certificate of insurance is available to view on my social media. I also have my full DBS. Your pets are in safe hands!
Of course! All of my walks are catered to your pooches needs, therefore her walk would be on a 1-1 basis. I can try and improve your pooches socialization on walks if that is what you would like. So if she is nervous and not aggressive I could slowly start introducing her to other pups. Often when we slowly introduce pups to each other they become best of friends!
